Game Night = Stress Relief ;) Kinda…

The other night, I set up mayhem for my players. In a small town, the community is being locked down by force, due to a supposed assassination attempt on the newly elected mayor. This mayor – who moved into the town a year ago, won unanimously. The players along with one of the mayor’s secretaries just returned from a relations trip to a neighboring city via train. On the return home, they were ambushed by bandits and got the secretary killed… in actuality, murdered! The players were escorted to the resident home that one of the players found his parents live in, but for some reason, they have been missing for a bit now…

So I enjoy storytelling. I enjoy engaging my players in situations that make them think and figure out what’s right and what’s not. For me, this is a great stress reliever after a long day of work. I’ve been game master/dungeon master for over five years and this group and I have been playing for roughly three years. Putting them through pain and irony is excellent to my stress. But seeing them successfully defeat the odds are exhilarating as well 🙂 Welcome to Dungeon and Dragons!

If there’s interest, maybe I’ll go into detail on how my games work and what structure I use to build them, to keep my players coming, and so forth. For now, cheerio, and good luck to all who look to relax.
